We are currently seeking a full time Security Manager to manage projects throughout the UK.

The Security Manager will be involved in the daily running of operations on various projects which could be in the construction, rail and utilities sector. You will create a safe and secure environment for Customers and Employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures; supervising the Security Officers /Supervisors on site, to ensure they provide a professional, responsive and observant service. This is a Customer Relationship Management Role and as such you will be expected to liaise with Key Clients to create an award winning service.

The successful candidate will be working alongside the General Manager and CRM Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To develop, manage and monitor security personnel ensuring that all relevant standards, contractual obligations and health and safety issues set out by the Company are adhered to.
  • Be actively involved in the operational duties of the Company ensuring that you are able to provide a comprehensive account of all actions taken by staff under your responsibility, and the operational needs of the Company whilst, at all times, leading by example.
  • Communicating with Site/Project Managers on a daily basis, ensuring the smooth running of the projects that you are responsible for.
  • Ensure all Site Company controlled documentation is accurate and complete at all times and directly reflects all Company Operating Procedures and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Undertake risk assessments, as part of a dedicated team, to identify security compromises (actual or potential) and raise awareness amongst security personnel, the client and the Company of security issues, offering advice and guidance where appropriate.
  • Ensure site visits are carried out monthly as per our CRM System
  • Provide 'Duty Management’ responsibility outside of core hours.
  • Share knowledge and experience with all employees under your supervision. Participate in and ensure the continuation of training to all members of staff within the remit of your authority.
  • Be conversant with, and implement the Company’s employment related policies and assist in ensuring that the policies are understood and implemented by all employees
  • Upon request, participate in and advise on the recruitment, selection and interviewing of staff within the sector managed.
  • Assist in the development and management of appropriate systems, including files and databases, to ensure production of appropriate reports relating to Company incidents, and other ad hoc reports as required by the Senior Management Team.
  • Induct and supervise staff in your area of responsibility, evaluate through regular supervision and appraisal.
  • Effective handling and co-ordination of security incident response activities in order to minimize impact on the business.
  • Responsibility for supervising incident response tasks and overall ownership of the Incident Response Plan remaining on task throughout the incident.
  • Provision of Incident Response Report and lessons learnt to key stakeholders. Prevent previous incidents from recurring by documenting and learning from past incidents
  • Conduct reviews to identify causes of security incidents, develop corrective actions and re-assess risk.
  • Attend Management Team meetings as directed.
  • The Company may request from time to time additional duties.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Frontline SIA licence
  • Security Industry Experience
  • Fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history; including full company names, addresses and landline contact numbers.
  • Strong communication both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication & administration skills.
  • Must be punctual and have the ability to think on their feet.
  • Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
  • Smart, well-groomed and confident.
  • A commitment to providing first class customer service is essential.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Conflict management aware.
  • High level of Customer Care Awareness
  • Please be aware you will be required to work days, nights and weekends therefore must be flexible and have a can- do attitude
