Deputy Security Manager (Mobile)  - High Threat Security Guarding Services

Security Clearance: NV2

Role

The Deputy Security Manager – Mobile (DSM-M) is to assist the Security Manager and act as a

back up. The DSM-M is responsible for delivering operational aspects of the

Contract including:

1. planning and coordinating all operations and movement of vehicles, personnel and material

2. synchronising security operations

3. information management

4. coordinating mobile security operations

5. managing the operations room and communications personnel

6. coordinating Situational Awareness Team (SAT) effort

7. controlling emergency response/incident management

8. coordinating training (induction and continuation) and

9. managing venue reconnaissance database in consultation with

intelligence personnel.

 

Skills and Experience

The DSM must have:

a) at least five (5) years’ experience in operations management

overseeing planning and Protective Security operations, including static

guarding, personal security, intelligence, threat assessment and CPP

b) previous military or law enforcement experience of not less than 10

years with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal

record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service

or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or

equivalent) or terminated from employment

c) experience with risk management including risk management planning

and qualitative risk analysis

d) excellent leadership skills

e) experience with training and managing operational teams and

f) excellent communication skills, with experience in multiple levels of

communication between various levels of management, internal and

external.

 

Desirable

a) previous experience working in a diplomatic environment

b) previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and

c) a working knowledge of the local language.
