Responsibilities
- Command, control and administration of on-site static security guard forces (SSG)
- Manage work schedules for interpreters, EDD teams and female screener as well as shift procedures for the SSG.
- Oversee SSG accommodation and welfare, and supervise training
- Coordinate with all relevant parties for receiving Australian Embassy visitors
- Assist PM and RSO in the event of emergency or incident in the compound
- Deploy SSG Incident Response Team if required
- Liaison as required
Essential requirements
- Military or law enforcement service - with an excellent record of conduct.
- Minimum of 5 years experience operating in high risk environments
- Experience in planning and management of base security operations and a static guard force in a high threat environment
- Able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills
- Able to communicate effectively between multiple levels of management (internal and external)
- Clean criminal record
Desirable
- Previous experience working in Afghanistan in a similar capacity
- Previous experience in a diplomatic environment
- Knowledge of local languages.
