Description

We are seeking exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as National Security Architecture Project Advisors in Somalia.

Roles and Responsibilities

Subject matter expert and advisor on Somalia's national security architecture.
Experience working with the MOIS, Federal Police, regional Police (at the Federal Member State level), National Security Advisor, Ministry of Defense, and Prime Minister.
Any other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications

Somali speakers are preferred but not required.
Experience in Somalia in the functions listed in roles and responsibilities is required.
Well-versed in the current national security architecture and how recovery, stabilization, and security force engagements will extend the FGS' governance in newly recovered areas.
Familiarity with the National Transition Plan and ability to work at the local, regional, federal, and donor levels to create strong working relationships to implement and expand this plan.
Minimum of Bachelor's degree; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
At least five years of experience advising senior FGS leadership.
