Job Description:
Performs Crash, Fire and Rescue responses, duty and training as well as structural fire response duties and training as part of a crew. Perform hazardous materials responses, duties and training at the Operational level. Primary team member to respond to medical emergencies and administers basic life support as required in medical emergencies and fire and rescue response. Is responsible for daily operational maintenance of his equipment and vehicle.

A. Duties/Responsibilities:
Expert knowledge of structural rescue and firefighting techniques, practices and equipment.
Skilled in the use, monitoring, and management of emergency medical treatment equipment and devices associated with emergency medical treatment of personnel.
Considerable knowledge of the design and characteristics of military and civilian rotary wing aircraft.
Considerable knowledge of exit and safety procedures of various military and civilian rotary wing aircraft, and structural fire/alarm detection/suppression systems.
Ability to quickly perform all functions in difficult and hazardous situations, without hesitation, and with little or no direction from superiors.
Ability to comprehend and apply instructions and communicate information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to learn and apply aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques and practices.
Ensures his equipment is ready to respond to all requests for emergency services (fire, EMS, special rescue).
Prioritize support requirements to handle multiple simultaneous medical and fire emergencies.
Serve as a mentor and trainer to assigned Ministry of National Guard MOS 12M Firefighters.
Conduct facility fire safety inspections-risk assessments.
Maintain adequate resources and ensure they are maintained in proper operation and in a mission ready state at all times.
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in English.
As part of the selection process, a physical will be conducted. Candidates must have normal color discrimination, visual acuity correctable to 20/20 in one eye, 20/30 in the other eye and not more than 20/200, each eye, uncorrected. Candidates must not have any record of pyro phobia, acrophobia or claustrophobia. Have and maintain a BMI of less than 35.
All other duties as assigned by the Chiefs of Emergency Services.

B. Independence: Reports to the Lieutenants, Assistant Chiefs and Fire Chief Aviation. Works within the rules and regulations of airfield flight operations and safety guidelines and applicable firefighting and emergency services guidelines. Has the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities of the fire department under the direction of the Fire Chief.

Job Requirements:
A. Education Level: High School graduate required; associates degree or higher preferred. Level 4 English Language Proficiency Required.

B. Experience: Minimum of 2-years firefighting experience in either the Saudi Military or as a civilian.

C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Possession of an appropriate, valid KSA Driver’s License prior to hire date. Ability to obtain Firefighter Level I/II (NFPA 1001), Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (NFPA 1003) and Hazardous Materials and Emergency Medical Response Certifications or KSA equivalent. Must meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform assigned duties. Ability to perform physically demanding work and withstand very hazardous conditions. Willing to meet grooming standards to allow for wear of respiratory protection equipment.
