Position: All Source Intelligence Analyst for Iraq.
Location: Work from home - 5 days/week Sunday-Thursday.
Salary rate will depend on experience and other factors relevant to the position and candidate background.
Description: Intelligence Analysis for Iraq.
The analyst will provide research, incident evaluation, quality control, presentation, and report production for daily, weekly and bespoke reporting requirements either in support of the Senior Iraq Analyst or independently as required. Report writing and analysis of security, social and political events throughout Iraq. Monitor client operational requirements and enhance client situational awareness. Produce mapping and database management as required for report production.
Position Requirements:
Minimum required qualifications: Highly motivated and dedicated individual seeking to work with a diverse team of Iraq-based and international personnel.
Experience operating in an appropriate analytical/military/security and/or research position within Iraq or reporting on Iraq remotely.
Recent experience and knowledge of the current Iraq environment is highly desirable.
No minimum educational degree requirements, though strong English writing skills, analytical background and knowledge of the Iraq environment are essential as we provide services to corporate level readership. A writing sample and skills test will be required for those interviewed for the post.
Must have home PC and sufficient IT capability to support computer-based work requirements and online systems. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to produce a high volume of written material.
Experience with mapping and database systems highly desirable. Applicant must be available in consideration of Iraq time zone reporting requirements though some flexibility is possible.
Proficient in utilizing standard computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product production. Familiar with and capable of using social media platforms and open-source collections techniques.
Capable of effectively operating as a member of a diverse analytical team from a remote location.
Highly Desired but not Required:
Education - bachelor’s degree in intelligence, security analysis, or applicable field
Experience in either CT, Iraq regional issues, HUMINT, CI or military analysis
Military, academic or commercial analytical experience operating in support of strategic/tactical/operational/government or commercial elements in Iraq is desired. Other relevant experience may be equally considered if appropriate to the post.
