Job Summary
Technical Surveillance Equipment (TSE) and Electronic Warfare Specialist who is a SME in specialized communications equipment, audio, video, unattended sensors, tagging, tracking and locating, day and night optics, and targeting software, (ATAK). The Candidate shall possess in-depth knowledge to identify, analyze, develop, test, modify, and employ technical solutions in support of training and mission requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
The candidate shall work with other agencies, as appropriate, in development efforts of technical solutions.
This is a trainer position, so the qualified applicant must have some DOD or SOCOM experience as an instructor (should have Instructor Training Course Cert)
Should understand the TTL (Tagging, Tracking & Locating) equipment used by the customer and how it is applied in an operational environment
Operational Experience with technical surveillance equipment (TSE)
Does not need to be an operator but must have the 10 years working with SOF and 5 years working with the equipment.
This position will require testing and evaluation as well as instructing on customer-centric gear
Must be able to manage equipment and maintain accountability
This position will be involved with the manufacturing of new technologies, so qualified applicants must have an interest in that type of development. No special education required but should be mechanically inclined.
Must show in their resume that they understand and have operationally supported TTL, TABS, and SSE.
Will stay abreast of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) equipment and technology and provide concept developments in concert with end-users in developing viable solutions.
The candidate shall assist in planning, development and oversight of training/exercise programs to develop and refine operational TTP’s. The candidate will also develop task, condition, and standard worksheets as required by the government.
The candidate shall possess the ability to independently conduct research, compile, interpret and analyze a variety of practical and technical data from a wide range of sources, draw conclusions, and devise WA practical recommendations for action.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, protecting, and ensuring the operation of information technology (IT) systems, services, and capabilities supporting the Training and Validation office. The Contractor shall perform duties in various levels of compartmented security, each with separate policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Special Operations Experience – The candidate shall possess recent (within the last 4 years)special operations experience. The candidate should have at least 10 years of first-hand expertise working within special operations units and activities.
The candidate shall have familiarity of Electronic Warfare theory and have experience in radio frequency (RF) applications. This candidate shall perform duties planning and preparing recommendations concerning the integration of technical devices and equipment into mission and training arenas. The candidate will work with other departments to develop solutions for RF collection and manipulation, signal transmission, and provide recommendations for tactics, techniques, and procedures.
The candidate shall possess knowledge of Department of Defense, USSOCOM, Joint SOF and interagency technology working groups.
The candidate shall possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Training Requirements
Candidate must have a current CompTIA Security+ Certificate or be able to acquire it within six months of being hired to facilitate mandated DOD 8570 IAT Level II Requirements.
Candidate must have successfully completed (with certification) any of the USSOCOM Basic Technical Operator Courses.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Technical Surveillance Equipment and Electronic Warfare Experience – A minimum of 10 years of experience obtaining, employing, and managing Technical Surveillance Equipment and Electronic Warfare tools and mechanisms is required.
Special Operations Training and Exercise Expertise – The candidate shall possess detailed knowledge, working with national policies and doctrine concerning special operations. No less than 5 years’ experience.
