We're looking for a CCTV Controller to operate as a team of three with the AELTC CCTV system/Life Safety Systems/BMS and Door Access 24/7. In this role, you will support the designated Duty Manager with the team's portfolio functions.

To be successful, you must have previous experience within the security sector operating in a control room with CCTV.

Background

Founded in 1868, The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) is a private members' club which organises and stages The Championships, Wimbledon.

The AELTC has delivered substantial top line growth in recent years and expects that growth to continue in conjunction with an ambitious investment programme in the years ahead, including the construction of a retractable roof over No.1 Court and the incorporation of The Wimbledon Park Golf Course back into the wider site operation.

The AELTC Security Team's role is both to, prepare, plan and deliver a successful Championships in collaboration and partnership with all AELTC departments, temporary Championships staff, volunteers, contractors and agencies, and, manage the day-to-day operations of The Grounds, including various construction work and The Club House.

This supports the AELTC's goal of delivering the world's premier tennis tournament and to support one of the world's most prestigious tennis clubs.

Job Descriptions

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Command and control the 24/7 security supplier through the AELTC radio channel in support of the Duty Manager
  • To act as 'Silver' for all incidents when the designated Duty Manager is not available
  • Manage and operate the Genetec CCTV operating system
  • Manage and operate the life safety systems of fire and medic alarm
  • Manage and operate all security and panic alarms systems
  • Escalate all incidents as per the AELTC IMP policy
  • Oversee and direct all ground resources to incidents and daily routine tasks as per the AELTC Security SOPs
  • Ensure the ECR operates in compliance with BS 7958, GDPR and AELTC Policies
  • Ensure that the Year-Round, third-party security provision meets the contractually agreed requirement
  • Ensure compliance with the agreed search protocols and Ground Entry conditions by the Year-Round, third-party security provider
  • Create comprehensive and detailed daily and incident management reports in accordance with AELTC Policies
  • Submit end of shift reports in accordance with AELTC Policies
  • As ECR Controller to support their designated Duty Manager with his/her portfolio functions
  • As ECR Controller to interface and engage with internal stakeholders as required with all aspects of the portfolio functions on a day to day basis
  • As ECR Controller to cover the 24/7 operation with breaks to the ECR day to day positions of two
  • Liaise with all blue light agencies including St Johns as directed by the Duty Manager and/or the AELTC Head of Security or the Deputy
  • Coordinate and manage site functions and events in conjunction with AELTC, Compass Food and Drink and other user groups
  • Any other duty as required by the Duty Manager/AELTC Head of Security or the deputy.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience within the security sector operating in a control room with CCTV
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Holds a current SIA CCTV licence or can demonstrate experience of working within a control room environment
  • Experience working in an event, airport or similar high profile, access control environment
  • Has a sound understanding of potential threats to a high-profile sporting event
  • Has a sound understanding around the handling of sensitive material and data protection legislation
  • Effective oral communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively with all Law Enforcement organisations, AELTC senior management team, VVIPs, staff and other agencies
  • Has an ability to work alone or as a team player and without supervision
  • Can make sound decisions in pressurised environments and can effectively communicate those decisions
  • Always operates with integrity and discretion
  • Is presentable, always in keeping with the organisational values and professional standards

Desirable

  • Holds any NVQ qualification in Crowd Safety and/or similar relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with a blended team of both employed, contracted and volunteer staff
  • Knowledge or experience of behavioural traits threats and risks posed by individuals
